ASSIST-Ovarian.com is a website designed to provide information about the ASSIST-1 (ASsessment of Survival In Solid Tumors-1) and ASSIST-3 (ASsessment of Survival In Solid Tumors-3) clinical trials for women with recurrent ovarian cancer. Both of these Phase 3 trials are studying TLK286, an investigational cancer drug being developed by Telik, Inc, and its effectiveness for treatment of recurrent ovarian cancer in comparison to already approved drugs. The ASSIST-1 trial tests how TLK286 affects survival rates when used alone, and the ASSIST-3 clinical trial uses TLK286 in combination with the approved drug carboplatin.

The website provides basic information about clinical trials, resources to locate clinical trials, and order forms for cancer patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to obtain educational materials. The Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups is the nation's premier network of cancer clinical trials specialists, and includes cooperative groups, cancer centers, academic medical centers, community hospitals, physician practices, and patient advocate groups.
